Apple Cranberry Crisp with Walnuts and Cardamom

Apples and cranberries are nestled together and covered with a crumbly mixture of nutty browned butter, oats, flour, sugar, warm spice and walnuts.

Apple Cranberry Crisp

  • 3 cups chopped and peeled apples
  • 2 cups cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, browned
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350F. Combine apples, cranberries, sugar and flour in a 9×13 baking dish. In a bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the apples and cranberries.

Bake for 50 minutes until bubbly and golden. Enjoy!
